The Terras Altas de Fafe Wind Farm, with an installed capacity of 106 MW, is located in Varzeacova, in the municipalities of Fafe and Celorico de Basto, in the district of Braga. It was built in two steps: first 80 MW in 2004/2005, then an extension of 26 MW in 2008. It is composed of 53 Gamesa G87 wind turbines with a nominal capacity of 2 MW and began commercial operation in December 2004. The asset represented an investment of EUR 142 million.

The average annual production is estimated at 197,900 MWh which is approximately the electricity consumption of Fafe, Celorico de Basto and Cabeceiras de Basto.
